| Martin Vazquez receives his graduation diploma during the P.A.R.E (Prevention, Awareness, Resources, Education) program celebration for Latino parents and teenagers. The program ended its first 10-week session with a graduation celebration on Wednesday, April 28th at the Cardinal Valley Center.
The program was a collaboration between the Bluegrass Community Health Center and LFUCG Division of Youth Services.
Forty-nine parents and children participated in sessions that covered topics such as: communicating with your teenager, educational opportunities, how to navigate the school system, safety, drug and alcohol use prevention, gang prevention, community resources, and talking to your teenager about sex. The PARE Group will be offered again in the Fall.
